Career Growth Boost as NCPC Promotes 57 Staff Nationwide
The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has successfully concluded its 2026 promotion exercise, with a total of 57 staff members across various grade levels in both the headquarters and zonal offices elevated.
The promotion examination took place on April 1, 2026. The exercise, which received approval from the Executive Secretary, Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, was later ratified by the Commission’s Board.
Those promoted include two Deputy Directors who rose to the rank of Director, as well as two Assistant Directors who were elevated to Deputy Director. The newly appointed Directors are Mr. Celestine Toruka, Director of Media and Public Relations, and Mr. Benedict Okoh, Director of Mobilisation.
During a courtesy visit by the newly promoted staff on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the NCPC headquarters in Abuja, Bishop Adegbite reiterated his dedication to staff career advancement, stating, “People working with me must progress.”
He advised the beneficiaries against complacency following their success in the promotion examination, urging them instead to continue pursuing professional and academic qualifications to better prepare for future opportunities.
While congratulating the promoted staff, the Executive Secretary encouraged them to remain hardworking, loyal to their superiors, and ready to take on higher responsibilities. He emphasized, “I will not tolerate indiscipline, but I will ensure no staff is denied their rights.”
Bishop Adegbite also prayed for fulfillment in their new positions, expressing hope that they would live to enjoy their retirement benefits and ultimately “experience heaven at last.”
In his remarks, the Director of Administration, Mr. Abu Okpanachi, expressed appreciation to the Executive Secretary for his purposeful and inclusive leadership. He also assured him of the continued loyalty of the newly promoted staff and the entire workforce.
