Easter Reflection: Nigerians Advised to Emulate Christ’s Sacrifice and Love

The Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Garki, Abuja, Reverend Tom Takpatore, has called on political office holders to use their positions to improve the living conditions of ordinary citizens.

Speaking during a special prayer session at the Easter Sunday Service in Abuja, Reverend Takpatore said leaders who make sacrifices for the good of humanity would receive great rewards.
He encouraged Nigerians to draw lessons from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ by showing love and extending a hand of fellowship to one another.
The cleric emphasized that Christians should reflect the virtues of Jesus Christ by making sacrifices to support those in need within society.
Reverend Takpatore also appealed to Nigerians to remain patriotic, expressing optimism that the resurrection of Jesus Christ would usher in the much-needed transformation in the country.
“Jesus died and rose on the third day. For us as Christians, our faith is a living faith. We have a Saviour whom the grave could not hold, and the empty tomb testifies that Jesus is alive.”
