Fishermen Prevent Tragedy as Man Jumps Into Lagos Lagoon

A man was rescued on Wednesday after reportedly entering the Lagos Lagoon shortly after parking his vehicle on a bridge in Lagos.

Eyewitnesses said the incident could have ended tragically, but the quick intervention of local fishermen in the area helped pull him out of the water.
A video of the rescue later surfaced online and was shared on Instagram by social commentator Isaac Fayose, who expressed concern over the situation and urged Nigerians to pay more attention to the emotional wellbeing of people around them.
“Please, check on your family and friends. This just happened today. Who knows what went wrong,” Fayose wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, the identity of the man had not been confirmed, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
The Lagos State Police Command had also yet to release any official statement regarding the development.
