NSCDC, NFSS Strengthen Ties as Audi Secures Second Term

The Commander General of the Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS), Dr. Joshua Osatimehin, has congratulated Prof.

Abubakar Audi on his reappointment for another five-year term as the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Dr. Osatimehin gave the commendation during a congratulatory visit alongside his management team to the NSCDC Commandant General. He described Prof. Audi’s reappointment as a reflection of his outstanding performance, commitment, and the notable achievements recorded during his first tenure.

He further called for enhanced mutual support and collaboration between the NFSS and NSCDC, particularly in strengthening intelligence operations within forested areas to boost national security.
While commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for their efforts in safeguarding the country, Dr. Osatimehin reaffirmed the NFSS’s commitment to supporting the actualization of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, especially in protecting lives and property across Nigeria’s forest regions.
In his response, the Commandant General of NSCDC, Prof. Abubakar Audi, expressed appreciation to Dr. Osatimehin and his management team for the visit and goodwill.
He also pledged sustained support and partnership with the NFSS, particularly in the training and retraining of its personnel to enhance the protection of national assets and critical infrastructure located in forest areas.
