As part of activities marking its 10th anniversary, God’s City International Church will host a spiritual renewal programme themed “Full Restoration” at its Wuye headquarters in Abuja.
Pastor Matthew Morakinyo says the 10th anniversary of God’s City International Church represents a season of “supernatural recovery” as the ministry begins a week-long celebration in Abuja.
God’s City International Church has announced plans to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a week-long spiritual programme themed “Full Restoration,” scheduled to take place from May 25 to May 31, 2026, at the church headquarters in Wuye, Abuja.
Established in 2016 by Pastor Matthew Morakinyo, the church said the anniversary celebration will serve as a time of thanksgiving, worship, prayers, testimonies, and spiritual renewal to commemorate a decade of ministry and community outreach within the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the church, the programme will feature daily morning sessions tagged “Morning Glory” from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., alongside evening revival meetings from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. throughout the week.
A special vigil titled “Night of Restoration” is scheduled for Friday, May 29, at 9:00 p.m., and will feature guest minister Pastor Kalu Ndukwe.
The anniversary celebration will conclude on Sunday, May 31, with three services slated for 7:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m., to be led by Pastor Matthew Morakinyo and Pastor Mary Morakinyo.
All activities are expected to hold at God’s City Garden, Plot 862A, Olusegun Obasanjo Way, Wuye, Abuja.
Speaking ahead of the anniversary, Pastor Matthew Morakinyo described the theme “Full Restoration” as prophetic and symbolic of the church’s journey over the last 10 years.
“What the enemy has stolen — your peace, health, finances, or joy — God is returning sevenfold. This tenth year is our Jubilee,” he said.
The church also invited members of the public, ministers, and worshippers across denominations to participate in what it described as “a season of supernatural recovery” for individuals, families, and the nation.
Enquiries and participation details are available through the church’s official communication channels and social media platforms, including its Facebook and YouTube pages under God’s City International Church and Pastor Matthew Morakinyo.
The anniversary celebration comes amid a growing trend among Nigerian faith-based organisations to use milestone events to reflect on institutional growth, deepen community engagement, and reinforce spiritual messages centred on national and personal renewal.
