Bishop Urges Action on Hardship, Insecurity

The Bishop of Kubwa Diocese, Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Duke Akamisoko, has called on the Federal Government to introduce programmes that will help ease the hardship faced by Nigerians as a result of the prevailing economic and security challenges in the country.

Dr. Akamisoko made the call during his Episcopal visit to St. Bartholomew Cathedral Church, Kubwa, Abuja, where he interacted with church members and assessed the spiritual and physical growth of the church.
He urged Christians, particularly those in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to remain steadfast in their faith, uphold the teachings of Christ, and support government efforts aimed at addressing the nation’s challenges.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vicar of St. Bartholomew Cathedral, Kubwa, Venerable Adamu Sabo, reaffirmed the church’s commitment to building godly homes and a better society. He encouraged residents not to allow economic difficulties to weaken their relationship with God or affect their service to Him.
Earlier in his remarks, the Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Dutse Alhaji Unit, Mr. Elohim Akem, advised motorists to drive cautiously as the rainy season intensifies in order to reduce road crashes within the territory.
The Episcopal visit, themed “They That Know Their God Shall Be Strong,” also featured dance and song presentations, as well as the confirmation, induction, and enrolment of members into the Mothers’ Union, Women’s Guild, Girls’ Guide, and Men’s Fellowship.
