Ignore Fake 2027 Campaign Poster, Ortom’s Aide Tells Public

The Media Adviser/Consultant to the immediate past Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom, Mr.

Terver Akase, has reiterated that his principal has no ambition whatsoever to contest the 2027 presidential election.
Akase was reacting to what he described as “a misleading poster circulating on social media, falsely claiming that the immediate past Governor of Benue State is contesting the 2027 presidential election.”
In a statement signed and made available to journalists in Makurdi on Thursday, Akase described the poster as a baseless claim orchestrated by mischief makers to spread misinformation.
According to him, “This claim is completely false, baseless, and an obvious handiwork of mischief makers bent on spreading confusion and misinformation.
“Chief Ortom has no ambition whatsoever for the 2027 presidential race. He has consistently and clearly stated that he will not contest any political office in the forthcoming elections.”
He urged members of the public to disregard the poster entirely, saying, “It is nothing more than a fabrication designed to mislead unsuspecting citizens and stir unnecessary political speculation.”
