Sallah Message: AHACCI Urges Nigerians, Leaders to Support the Vulnerable AHACCI Warns Against Greed, Corruption Amid Nigerians’ Hardship

The Atum Humanitarian Anti-Corruption and Charitable Initiative (AHACCI) has felicitated with Muslim faithful across Nigeria and around the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

In a Sallah message issued in Abuja, the Executive Chairman of the organisation, Alhaji Ismaila Yusuf Atumeyi, said that at a period when many Nigerians are facing rising living costs, insecurity and uncertainty, the lessons of Eid-el-Kabir remain more relevant than ever, especially in the areas of sacrifice, compassion, faith and responsibility to others.
He stated that the season should not only be seen as a time for celebration, but also as a reminder that society can only survive when people are willing to make sacrifices for the common good.
AHACCI therefore urged political leaders, public office holders, business owners and privileged individuals to use the period for sober reflection and prioritise the welfare of the people above personal interests, greed and corruption.
The organisation noted that public trust continues to suffer when resources meant to improve the lives of citizens are diverted while millions of Nigerians struggle with hardship, hunger and uncertainty.
AHACCI also appealed to Nigerians to continue extending kindness and support to the less privileged, particularly widows, orphans, internally displaced persons, persons living with disabilities and struggling families who may find the season difficult.
According to the organisation, the fight against corruption must be accompanied by compassion, justice and practical support for vulnerable members of society.
It stressed that Nigeria cannot overcome its present challenges when ordinary citizens are expected to make sacrifices while greed and corruption persist among those in positions of power.
As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, AHACCI prayed for peace, unity, healing and renewed hope for the nation.
