Turnaround Management Association of Nigeria Strengthens Leadership With Appointment of Shitery Panjiel
The Turnaround Management Association of Nigeria (TMA Nigeria) has appointed Mr. Shitery Panjiel as its Executive Director.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued in Abuja by the Chairman of the Turnaround Management Association of Nigeria, Mr. Dele Bello-Williams.
An accountant by training, Mr. Panjiel is widely recognized for his strategic vision, disciplined execution, and proven ability to design and implement systems that enhance operational efficiency, financial stewardship, accountability, and sustainable organizational growth.
He brings more than 20 years of distinguished leadership experience spanning operations, finance, administration, and strategic management across the nonprofit, energy, logistics, and development sectors.
Mr. Panjiel holds several notable professional certifications, including a Fellowship in Proposal and Grant Writing from the Institute for Development and Research, USA (2022); an Advanced Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Organizational Management from the International Professional Managers Association (IPMA), UK (2020); Associate International Expert Consultant certification (UK, 2020); Project Management Certification from Global Fund/ARFH (2016); and Certified Financial Literacy Trainer certification by GIZ (2019).
According to the statement, his appointment further reinforces TMA Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity, promoting professional excellence, and advancing best practices in turnaround management, corporate restructuring, and distressed business recovery in Nigeria.
Throughout his career, Mr. Panjiel has occupied several key leadership positions, including General Manager at Ladi Maji Foundation, General Manager of Operations at Triscord Energies, and Head of Finance at Youngsters Foundation International, among others.
Speaking on his appointment, Mr. Panjiel expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve the association.
“I am deeply honored to join TMA Nigeria as Executive Director. I look forward to working with the Board, members, and stakeholders to elevate the standards of turnaround management practices, foster economic resilience, and support Nigerian businesses in achieving sustainable recovery and growth,” he said.
He added that, as Executive Director, he would provide strategic leadership for the association, drive operational excellence, expand high-impact programs, deepen stakeholder partnerships, and position TMA Nigeria as the leading voice in turnaround management and corporate restructuring in the country.
