IGP Disu Celebrates Fathers, Commends Police Officers for Balancing Duty and Family

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, has marked this year’s Father’s Day by celebrating fathers across Nigeria for their sacrifices and invaluable contributions to family stability and national development.

He described fathers as critical pillars in instilling strong moral values, discipline, integrity, and patriotism in children, qualities that are essential for nation-building.
According to the IGP, the commitment and dedication of fathers continue to strengthen the social fabric of society and foster a more peaceful and prosperous nation.
He also commended police officers who, despite the demands of their profession, continue to effectively balance their responsibilities as fathers and role models within their families.
While extending his wishes of good health, wisdom, and fulfilment to all fathers, the Police Boss urged Nigerians to recognize and appreciate their sacrifices and lasting influence.
The IGP further reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to protecting lives and property, while promoting family values and social cohesion across the country.
