Engr. Anselm Ijebor, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has declared that former Anambra State Governor and Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, remains the preferred choice of many Nigerians ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on the forthcoming election, Ijebor pledged his unwavering support for Obi’s presidential ambition, promising to sensitize, mobilize, and galvanize support for the former governor.
He said Nigerians should rally behind Obi in view of his track record as governor of Anambra State and the leadership qualities he has continued to demonstrate across the country.
He also stated that Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso have distinguished themselves as leaders who genuinely care about the people and have consistently inspired Nigerians. According to him, the 2027 general election presents an opportunity for Nigerians to elect leaders with the experience, vision, and capacity to rebuild the nation and provide quality governance.
Ijebor maintained that Obi’s record in public service reflects integrity, competence, and commitment to national development, adding that his administration in Anambra State demonstrated a passion for empowering people and promoting unity. He said Nigeria deserves leadership that will attract meaningful investments, improve infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, security, youth and women empowerment, and job creation.
Describing the election as a choice between purposeful leadership and empty promises, Ijebor urged Nigerians to unite behind Peter Obi, whom he described as a candidate with the experience and dedication to serve the country. He also called on eligible voters to participate peacefully in the election and encourage others to do the same to secure a brighter future for Nigeria.
The Edo-born engineer turned politician added that many Nigerians are familiar with Peter Obi’s contributions to peace and unity, not only in the South-East but across the country.
