LAGOS, Nigeria — Balmoral Group Promotions, in a landmark partnership with global streaming giant DAZN, has officially announced “Chaos in the Ring,” a high-octane professional and celebrity boxing event set to take over the nation’s commercial capital.

The blockbuster sports entertainment spectacle will take place on Friday, July 31st, 2026, at the prestigious Balmoral Convention Center, located within the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Positioned as one of the most anticipated combat sports events on the African continent this year, “Chaos in the Ring” promises a unique, electrifying blend of elite professional boxing and high-profile celebrity showdowns.

Headlining the professional bill is a fierce, highly anticipated matchup between Portable and Charles. Both fighters are known for their explosive styles and relentless energy, promising a main event that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.

Adding a massive layer of pop-culture intrigue to the night is a co-headlining celebrity exhibition match featuring Nigerian music heavyweights Mr. Real and Idowest. The two Afrobeats stars will trade their microphones for boxing gloves, settling their friendly rivalry inside the squared circle in a bout expected to draw massive viewership from entertainment and sports fans alike across the globe.

The rest of the fight card is deeply stacked with top-tier professional matchups designed to showcase the depth of boxing talent in the region. Features on the undercard include a highly technical battle between Ahorgah and Williams, alongside a volatile clash between Antwi and Jafaru.

Additionally, fight fans will be treated to high-stakes action as Defreitas squares off against Quarm, Adebayo takes on Chino, and Adeniji goes toe-to-toe with Lawal.
The global broadcast partnership with DAZN ensures that boxing enthusiasts in over 200 countries will be able to stream the action live, putting Nigerian boxing squarely under the international spotlight.

The scale of “Chaos in the Ring” is reflected in its premium roster of corporate sponsors and partners. Powered prominently by Nigeria’s leading sports betting platform, Bet9ja, the event has also secured backing from global luxury spirit brand Hennessy and sports apparel giant Nike Boxing.

Crucial institutional and local support comes from the Bank of Industry (BOI) and the Lagos State Combat Sports Association (LSCSA). Other major corporate partners driving the event include Octerra, Fearless Energy Drink, Goldberg, GIG Logistics, Wakanow, and Bravose.

“We are thrilled to bring an international-standard boxing production to the heart of Lagos,” said a representative from Balmoral Group Promotions. “By combining elite athletic competition with the undeniable star power of our celebrity fighters, and broadcasting it worldwide via DAZN, we are changing the landscape of African sports entertainment. ‘Chaos in the Ring’ will be an unforgettable night.”
