End of an Era: Kosan Waka Passes Away at 47

Popular political singer Muhammadu Buhari, widely known as Kosan Waka, has died at the age of 47.
According to his family, the singer passed away on Sunday and will be laid to rest in Tsanni Village, Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, at 5:00 p.

In a statement issued by the spokesperson to the Kano State Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed deep sorrow over the singer’s death and extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
The governor sympathised with the late singer’s mother, relatives, friends, associates, fans, and the people of Kano State, describing Kosan Waka as “a Kano-based patriotic son of Katsina whose music transcended politics and served as a powerful tool for promoting unity, culture and public enlightenment.”
Governor Yusuf prayed for Allah to forgive the late singer’s shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family the strength to bear the loss.
Kosan Waka gained nationwide recognition through his political songs and performances. The Kano State Government noted that his contributions to political communication and Hausa entertainment would remain memorable.
The governor also joined members of the entertainment industry and millions of Nigerians in mourning the singer, praying that Allah grants him eternal rest.
