Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata Explores Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay

Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, has explored Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its towering limestone islands and emerald waters, aboard a traditional three-deck boat.

The Thai beauty queen visited Quang Ninh Province as part of a trip organised by the Miss World 2026 organisers. During her stay, she toured local attractions and participated in activities ahead of the upcoming international pageant.
Rather than using a modern luxury cruise ship, Suchata opted for a traditional three-deck boat with striking red sails, which has emerged as a new tourism symbol of Quang Ninh Province.
“Roaming around the city and sailing among the landing dragons,” Suchata wrote alongside a series of photos from her Ha Long excursion.
The traditional boat offers a quieter and more intimate alternative to larger cruise ships, allowing passengers to admire the bay’s scenery and experience the coastal landscape at a relaxed pace.
The boat mainly cruises along the waters off Ha Long’s coastline. From the deck, passengers can enjoy views of the bay and landmarks such as Quang Ninh Museum, Dolphin Palace and Lan Be Park, while also catching glimpses of the daily lives of local fishing communities.
In addition to touring the bay, Suchata visited Tran Quoc Nghien Temple and Quang Ninh Museum, one of the most recognisable architectural landmarks along the coast. The museum is known for its imposing black-glass exterior, which resembles a giant mirror reflecting the surrounding sea and sky.
Inside, Quang Ninh Museum displays documents and artefacts highlighting the province’s history, culture, natural environment and mining heritage, particularly its long-established coal industry. During the trip, Suchata also posed outside the museum with 2024 Mister World first runner-up Pham Tuan Ngoc.
Suchata, 23, studies law with a focus on international relations at Thammasat University. She represented Thailand at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico, where she finished as third runner-up.
She later defeated 107 contestants to win the 72nd Miss World crown in India in May 2025, becoming the first Thai woman to win the title.
On July 26, Global Beauties, a beauty pageant website established in 1998, named Suchata the “Most Beautiful Woman in the World 2025,” recognising both her beauty and charitable activities.
