Stop Using Youths To Perpetrate Crisis – Ndukuba Warns Politicians

The Primate Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba has called on Politicians to stop using Youths to perpetrate crisis as campaigns for the 2027 general election gathers momentum across the country.

Addressing the Anglican Chancellors, Registrars and Legal Officers in Abuja, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba said politicians should rather present their manifesto to guide the public in making right choices.

He argued that youths can bring about change in the nation’s politics when they use their numerical strength to elect right candidates in the forthcoming elections.

He decried the current situation where eligible voters exchange their votes with money while consumption of hard and illicit drugs have become order of the day among Nigerian youths.

He passionately appealed to all registered voters to fully participate and cast their votes for candidates emphasizing that 2027 provides another opportunity for Nigerians to elect politicians who will protect the interest of common citizens.

Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba however stressed the need for the Independent National Electoral Commission to leave above board and ensure that the votes of ordinary citizens count in 2027.

He also urged security agencies to be professional in their conduct and provide a level playing ground for all political parties to carry out their lawful activities.

The Anglican Primate assured that the Church would continue to mobilize and be the voice for the downtrodden in the society.

On the theme of the conference of Chancellors, Registrars and Legal Officers, “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba urged them to use their profession to bring development to the church.

He reminded them that the Church needs their professional advice particularly their contributions to the ongoing constitution review.

According to him, their advice wiil empower church leaders in making rightful contributions to some sections of the constitution that did not favour Christianity in the country.
