Unity Colleges Set for September 14 Resumption

The Federal Ministry of Education has affirmed that all Federal Unity Colleges nationwide will resume academic activities on Monday, September 14, 2026, as scheduled.

In a statement by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Mrs. Boriowo Folasade, the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, said the well-being of students and staff remains central to the Federal Government’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for teaching and learning.

The Ministry stated that relevant security agencies are maintaining heightened vigilance around the Federal Unity Colleges and their immediate environments ahead of the resumption.

The Minister therefore urged parents and guardians to remain calm, rely on official information and proceed with preparations to ensure that their children and wards return to their Colleges on Monday as scheduled.

The Ministry emphasised that it remains committed to strengthening Nigeria’s education system and ensuring that Nigerian children have access to quality education in safe and conducive learning environments, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
