ADC Youths Demand INEC Recognition of Ogah as National Chairman
A coalition of concerned youths and aspirants within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to officially recognize Kingsley Temitikpe Ogah as the party’s substantive National Chairman.
The call was made in a statement issued by the group’s Coordinator, Comrade Abubakar Suleiman, who stressed the importance of due process and transparency in leadership selection. He noted that any leadership that emerges through legitimate and credible means should be duly acknowledged.
The group urged INEC to thoroughly examine all relevant documents, party resolutions, and legal frameworks backing Ogah’s claim to the position. According to the statement, such a review is necessary to prevent further escalation of internal disagreements within the party.
They also highlighted the importance of stable leadership as the ADC prepares for forthcoming political activities, emphasizing that unity is key to strengthening the party’s standing as a viable alternative in Nigeria’s democratic landscape.
Additionally, the statement called on party members, supporters, and the general public to remain calm, law-abiding, and committed to constructive dialogue while efforts continue to address any unresolved issues.
