First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Gets New Deacons, Deaconesses, To Be Ordained Soon

As part of measures to further propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ within and outside the Federal Capital Territory, First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Abuja has choosed two new additional Deacons and two Deaconesses.

This is after months of fasting and prayer as well as spiritual lecture on Selection of Deacons and Deaconesses in line with the teachings of the bible and the constitution of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC.

The Deacons are Prof. Samuel Olanrewaju of University of Abuja and Dr. Tayo Olajide of National Mathematical Centre, Sheda Abuja

The Deaconesses are Prof. Mrs Comfort Olanrewaju also of University of Abuja and Mrs Bose Ibidapo of Junior Secondary School, Dupka in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.

Announcing the names of the Deacons and Deaconesses during this Sunday’s service, the Chairman of the Screening Committee, Deacon Victor Asade said the four emerged out of the eight candidates who were selected by members of the Church.

They will be ordained soon after the completion of necessary arrangements and preparations by the Executive Members of the Church.
