Gwagwalada residents urge Wike to revive abandoned General Hospital project.

Concerned residents of Gwagwalada Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory have appealed to the FCT Minister, Mr.

They stressed that continuity in governance and the completion of critical infrastructure projects are essential for sustainable development and improving the quality of life of citizens.

The residents questioned why the General Hospital project, which began during the administration of former FCT Minister, Muhammad Bala Kaura, has remained abandoned for several years.
Some of the residents, who spoke with Kapital FM, said the uncompleted facility has become a hideout for criminal activities, calling on the FCT Administration to revive and complete the project without further delay.

A retired medical personnel from the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Alhaji Baba Yahaya Isah, highlighted the enormous benefits the hospital would bring to residents if completed, particularly by making healthcare services more affordable.

The Tafidan Paikon Kore, Comrade Shenabo Abubakar, expressed concern over the prolonged abandonment of the project and urged the government to take immediate action.

A community leader, Alhaji Muhammad Sabi’u, also appealed to the FCT Minister to come to the aid of Gwagwalada residents by completing the hospital project, describing it as crucial to the health and well-being of the people.
