NFSS Commends Tinubu , NSA And Service Chiefs On Sustained Fight Against Insecurity
The Commander General of the Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS), Dr Joshua Osatimehin has commended His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu the National Security Adviser (NSA), and all the Service Chiefs for their tireless and strategic efforts aimed at ending the security challenges confronting Nigeria.
In a statement issued today in Abuja , the Commander General praised the unwavering commitment of the Federal Government and the nation’s security leadership in combating terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities threatening peace and national stability.
According to the statement, the coordinated operations and intelligence-driven initiatives being championed by the President, the NSA, and the Service Chiefs continue to yield positive results across various parts of the country.
The NFSS further called on the general public to cooperate fully with all security institutions by providing timely and credible grassroots intelligence reports capable of assisting security agencies in preventing and responding swiftly to threats.
The statement particularly urged community leaders, traditional rulers, youth leaders, and stakeholders at the grassroots level to report any collaborators, informants, or sponsors of criminal elements to the appropriate authorities, rather than becoming agents or protectors of criminal gangs.
The Commander General expressed confidence that with the strategic efforts of the NSA, the continued support of citizens, and the unwavering commitment of government at all levels, Nigeria will surely overcome its current security challenges.
He reaffirmed that the Nigeria Forest Security Service remains ready to complement the efforts of existing security agencies through effective local intelligence gathering across the nation’s 9.1 million hectares of forested areas and to serve as a first line of defence in all the 774 local government areas of the Federation.
The NFSS reiterated its commitment to national peace, public safety, and strategic collaboration with all security stakeholders in the interest of Nigeria’s unity and development.
